I originally saw a post on TER’s “Chicago Buzz” board, almost a year ago. She was advertising that she would be touring our city in a couple of months. I sent her a “Pre-screening” request, which included a description of myself, my recent activities, and a list of several companions that I had seen in the last few months. A couple of hours later, I received a reply from her. She told me that she had made a mistake when she had listed Chicago to be included in her current tour. I was disappointed, but I understood.
A few weeks ago, I sent her another note, asking if she had any plans to visit the Chicagoland area. To my delight, she informed me that she was in the process of planning and would be including Chicago on her up-coming tour. I was extremely excited, and after I calmed down, I assembled a note that detailed my recent and past activities, references, physical description of myself, and a before noon multi-hour meeting request. A brief time later, and after a few more note exchanges, the appointment was all set-up.
Catarina has admirable communication practices. I would occasionally correspond with her via email, text, and P411’s messaging app. She always responded quickly, whether it was a question or just a comment.
The day of our meeting, I sent her a note informing her that I was on my way. As I think that it is disrespectful to be tardy at any meeting, I always arrive at a location 10 or 15 minutes early. I never know what traffic delays might pop up or any other issues that might cause late arrival. I will usually wait until about 5 minutes before the appointment time and will send a note informing my new friend of my arrival.
I arrived about 15 minutes before my scheduled time, however, I waited for about 10 minutes before I informed her that I had arrived. Almost immediately I was given the location details. Even though, I have some experience, the anticipation had my heart beating rapidly. After the door opened, I walked in, and to my delight, was greeted by a gorgeous, slender, tiny, beauty.
