Persia, whose pictures I have admired for months on DC CL, advertised being in Richmond, the ultimate No (wo)Man's Land. Could not let that opportunity pass by, so I called her. One of the very best things about Persia is that she is extremely friendly and professional on the phone--she picks up on the 2nd ring, always, and says, Hello, this is Persia! That's kind of refreshing. W/time and place set, I met her at her cheesy motel. There was a previous review about the loud rednecks in the room next to hers in Laurel--I have to wonder if they travel with her, all 18 of them, because the very next room to hers on a Friday night was full of folks having a party, which had spilled outside to the stairwell, so there was not a lot of discretion with me walking up, standing within touching distance of four or five people enjoying their beer on the stairwell, and knocking on the door. That trauma aside, I went in and had a good time.
