I’ve met providers in unusual ways before, but this is the first time I hooked up with a lady by answering a thread she posted. KR posted a question about the weather in Rochester and I answered back with the five day weather report and a narrative post on how the roads are here in the ROC. KR answered back in the thread with an invite to meet, so I PM’d her and after a few messages we moved on to texting back and forth, then we set up a date. On the day of our date, the usual procedure of getting her hotel, and then room number was held. KR told me when I got to her room, to come right in, as the door would be open. In preparation, I had picked up supplies I would need, in addition, especially this time of year, I had gotten a Christmas gift bag and stocked it with chocolate, a Home Depot Gift card (.25, she listed it in her profile, under “Preferred Gifts”) and topped off with mini-candy canes. I also had the donation in an envelope tucked in the bag. As I walked past the desk, I waved at the clerk and he waved back. If you look and act like you belong, going by the desk clerk is a breeze. A friendly suggestion to help out those who have issues with going into a hotel later in the evening, I thought I would share my technique.
