I had been browsing TER and other sites for a long time without ever taking the plunge. I saw Cat's post on the Baltimore board and something about her picture and writing style just screamed out that she should be my first experience in this hobby. I got to the hotel, knocked on the door, and couldn't have been happier with what I saw on the other side. Cat could tell I was nervous, and immediately put me at ease with some good conversation, light touches, etc., A few minutes later, it was all systems go. Would totally repeat.
