My flight got into Vegas about 8:30 pm a few days before New Years and I found I had a message from Nikki confirming our appointment for later that night. I called her back and the sweetheart answered the phone...my heart started flippy flopping just from the anticipation. I picked up my carryon and hauled ass out of the airport as quickly as I could without being arrested...you know how the 9/11 paranoia works. Unfortunately, as usual, my car was not there yet from the hotel...so I jumped in a cab and gave the guy a tip to get me there in a hurry. We crawled out into the syrupy slow Vegas traffic and it took two forevers just to get me to the MGM Grand...I hopped out of the cab and boogied into the front door right into the longest checkin line I have ever seen at MGM...screw this New Years stuff. Got my room and went up...dropped the luggage and went down into the casino with the great unwashed to loose some money. Which I did very quickly...and for the next two hours. The smell of looserville was rapidly ruining my libido...so I went to the big lounge right there by the elevators, ordered a drink and punched in Nikki's digits...invited her to meet me for a drink. She met me there and we each did Yager shots, chatted and decided to take the leisurely 3 mile stroll to my room, during which she pointed out some hot girls. By now it was about 11:30 Vegas time and my old east coast ass was dragging a little...but I hopped into the shower and washed off the time difference..while Nikki prepared the scene.
