There's no better feeling than when a man gets what he wants. I realized that back in January, when I got ahold of Rei (pronounced Ray, as I learned) Alba, a young Eurasian Japanese/English transsexual who I had previously thought unreachable via phone OR e-mail. I'd called 6 phone numbers and mailed 2 addresses looking for her. Now that I could finally talk to her, I had to meet her. Throughout January and February we'd talk on the phone with her informing me of her travel dates, rates and we eventually settled on a 7PM appointment on Saturday, February 9th. After setting the appointment, the only trick was surviving the work week and long school hours. The intense boredom and wait was unbearable at times, but the day finally arrived. Coincidentally, I was going to be in the city anyway to see Spamalot, a great show, IMO. After a series of mishaps, misunderstandings and miscommunication following the show, I arrived at her hotel and as instructed I waited in the lobby. At 8:10, Rei bounds up to me (having recognized me from Facebook), looking as cute as can be, all smiles, wearing a sweater, tight jeans and those tan boots with the fur on the top. She sways from side to side almost like a child, as she introduces herself to me, her sweet and feminine voice purring in my ear. Rei apologizes for being late, we take the elevator to her floor and walk to her room, with her smiling at me the whole way.
