There are times when a man comes to the realization that he is alone. He may find that he has hardened himself; become cynical; crystallized into a jaded being. He is suddenly not an independent vessel, charging ahead, but lost at sea. The jewels in his ship's hold cease to sparkle, and the gold loses its luster. He has ignored his feelings for years, and it has finally surfaced. These are the times when he does not need a woman that is merely a beautiful statue or a wild tigress. This is when he needs a woman that can blow away the storms above and lead him into safe harbor. She can restore his feelings for the opposite sex. That a woman can nurture and love you. She can restore yours, my sarcastic friend. You pray at the bow of your ship for divine intervention, and SHE arrives. She is Alexis. This blonde All-American beauty from the Midwest welcomes you into her home, a small 1940's Hollywood bungalow house. With decorations of Buddha and pillow cushions on the floor, we share some wine and she listened to me. At times, I rambled on too much, but I would turn to her and she would be looking at me wanting to hear every word. That big smile on her face and sparkle in her eyes said everything. It told me: I am here for you, and right now, you are all that matters. Just when I was ready to fire my therapist, and tell this angel about my mother, it gets better.
