I’m humming notes from Krall’s eponymous tune “I Love Being Here With You” as that is very apropos of my meeting with roxy. That song is so beautifully arranged; our encounter mirrored the craftsmanship of Claus Ogerman and his tribute to jazz great, Ray Brown, through his musical muse. I am very selective about who I meet – it’s about quality over quantity. After research, I set my sights on roxy and began an email exchange prior to a regular PDX visit. I provided detailed instructions on our meeting. roxy, as the willing subject, readily agreed to what I laid out that included dinner and then an evening back at my hotel. roxy arrived on-time and text me from the lobby. I returned the message with my room number and in a few moments, the graceful redhead appeared. she quietly entered the room. I approached and gave her a hug and kiss. I detected Issey Miyake, or a similar fresh scent with a water-based flower undertone. she exuded a touch of initial meeting flutters. she looked smashing. Gorgeous red mane. Turns out she made the dress. A few more verbal exchanges and we were off to dinner and deeper exploration of roxy.
