That day at the office had left me in a rotten headspace, the kind where you sit in the car and genuinely weigh whether driving anywhere is worth the effort, and I went back and forth for a while on whether to honour the booking with Sophie or simply bail and head home. I went anyway, and it ended up being the best decision of my week. Something about the way she handles an evening pulls the tension right out of your shoulders, and I drove away feeling like someone had cleared the clutter out of my brain. Nothing about the visit was rushed, and I would make the same choice again in a heartbeat.
