I showed up a few minutes early and only had to wait a short while before Selena opened the door. She was dressed casually in a tank top and shorts, hair pulled back, and the first thing I noticed were her eyes, big and dark and doing that thing where they look right through you. She is smaller in person than I expected, which I liked, and she has this easy smile that makes the whole thing feel low key instead of stiff. We said hello, she pulled me in, and from there it just felt like hanging out with someone I had known for a while.
